ALL TIME LOW: Sunday Night NFL Ratings Down- NUMBERS ARE MIND BLOWING!

on

The New York Giants were among the many who knelt on the field for the ongoing controversy over the symbolic opposition to racism to start off the NFL season.

The three players on the Giants team that knelt were Landon Collins, Damon Harrison and Olivier Vernon. All part of the 200 NFL player band that defiantly took a knee during the national anthem at their opening season games on Sunday.

However, there were still many that locked arms with their teammates and coaches in protest of President Trump.

“There’s nothing that we’re saying we disrespect our country, it hurt me to take a knee. I was about to break down in tears. I love this country.

Some players even spoke up about their actions.season

“But at the same time, we respect each other, and we have a family over here, and we’re gonna fight for each other.”

Many Americans are boycotting the NFL by turning off their TV’s altogether. I guess things didn’t quite turn out the way you expected huh, Mr. Kaepernick.

According to thegatewaypundit:

On Friday night President Trump lashed out at NFL players protesting the national anthem on Friday while at a campaign rally for Senator Luther Strange (R-AL).

On Sunday over two hundred NFL players and staff knelt down in protest during the national anthem.

Americans reacted to the controversy by boycotting the league early in the season.

Early numbers show weekly NFL ratings may be down by 10% due to the stunt.

Deadline reported:

On a day full of criticisms from Donald Trump, political protests, linked arms, players taking a knee or not coming on the field during the National Anthem and renewed pleas for unity from the league NBC and the NFL took a hit last night on Sunday Night Football.

In metered market numbers, the primetime match-up between the 27-10 winning Washington Redskins and the Oakland Raiders snared an 11.6/20.

The worst SNF has performed this season so far, that’s an 8% dip from the early numbers of last week’s Atlanta Falcon’s 34-23 win over the Green Bay Packers.
