Donald Trump: ‘I Didn’t Get Elected to Serve the Washington Media’

on

President Trump isn’t worried about the mainstream media or the twisted smear campaign they keep pumping out, he’s here to serve Americans!

President Trump was at the Coast Guard Academy giving a commencement address in Connecticut. As he offered his advice to the graduates, he brought up the way he has been treated by the media. He told the graduates that life isn’t fair and sometimes you’ll come under unwarranted attacks. His example was the way the media keeps attacking him more than any other candidate before.

From Breitbart:

Trump’s remarks are the first public remarks since leaked Comey memos accused Trump of trying to shut down an investigation into his investigation into his former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn.

The president encouraged cadets to fight hard for what they believed in. “You can’t let them get you down,” he said. “You can’t let the critics and the naysayers get in the way of your dreams.”

Trump’s remarks drew cheers and applause from the crowd, as he explained that he would continue to fight, pointing out that he won the election by doing just that. “The more righteous your fight, the more opposition you will face,” he said.

“I didn’t get elected to serve the Washington media or special interests,” he said. “I got elected to serve the forgotten men and women of our country, and that’s what I’m doing.”

Say it again President Trump! I love the fact that this President has the balls to stand his ground. He might be unconventional but at least he’s not a sell out!

This false chaos the media pushes every day should be illegal… it’s not freedom of the press, it’s lying to people to undermine and overthrow our government. The way the democrats and the media are acting you would think Trump sold the Russians uranium… Hahahaha!
