Youth Football Team Follows Kaepernick’s Poor Example and Kneel during National Anthem

Colin Kaepernick has single-handedly ruined the American pass time known as football and now corrupted the minds of the American youth.

Kaepernick is a role model for the millions of young Americans who currently play youth football and his poor choice to kneel during the national anthem has spread.

Reports from around the country are surfacing and the decision to kneel is trending with the American youth that looks up to him. Kaepernick claims to be supporting minority’s and denouncing police brutality but never mentions the insult felt by the men and women who serve to protect the country he has the privilege of living in while making millions playing a game.

A youth football team decided to follow suit and after their coach explained the meaning behind kneeling the kids decided they too would like to kneel in support, but once again the coach failed to explain the other side of the story.

Via Fox News:

A youth football team in Illinois knelt for the national anthem before one of their games over the weekend in a Colin Kaepernick-inspired protest.

“One of the kids asked me if I saw [people] protesting and rioting in St. Louis,” Coach Orlando Gooden told Fox 2. “I said yes. I said, ‘Do you know why they are doing it?’”

Coach Gooden said the player responded, “Because black people are getting killed and nobody’s going to jail.”

“I felt like it was a good teaching moment for me to circle the team and have a meeting,” Gooden said.

After explaining that Kaepernick chose to kneel during the national anthem of NFL games last season to protest police brutality and racial inequality, Gooden said one of the kids asked if they could “do that.”

He said as long as they knew why they were kneeling, he didn’t have any problem with it.

Apparently, them knowing why is more important than explaining why others find it offensive. It also appears that this Coach didn’t bother to mention the fact that Colin Kaepernick is no longer an NFL football player thanks to his little kneeling controversy and the same decision by a Houston, Texas youth football team resulted in the season coming to an abrupt end.

Its a shame some adults are not able to deal with other adults about your feelings. So you resort to poisening young minds to get a point across that in all actuality makes no sense at all. Thats just chickenshit.
